Peter & Janeen host Fishy Friday on Friday afternoons from 3pm. Peter grew up in Sydney and Canowindra and came to Bathurst to do a business degree at Charles Sturt University during the 1980's. With a degree in hand he returned to Sydney to work in the corporate world. After climbing the first few rungs of the corporate ladder, Peter decided to jump off and go travelling in 1994. Peter lived in London off and on for a few years working in management rolls in small luxury hotels. Travels included living and working in Africa for a year and an overland trip from London to Bali. On returning to Australia he settled in the central west, where family and friends live, running a popular Bathurst café from 1997 to 2005. He is married, has three kids and seems to be surrounded by an expanding array of dogs, cats and horses. In addition to radio work Peter runs a wholesale coffee roasting and tea business called Fish River Roasters. In 2009, Peter & Janeen shared a Best On Air Team Commercial Radio Award and in 2010 he was a finalist in the Best Newsreader category. Janeen presented the Morning Wirelss Programme on 2BS for some 5 years before taking up the role of Director of Sales and Marketing with Citigate Mount Panorama. It is a role she thoroughly enjoys however radio remains her first love. When the opportunity arose to return the airwaves with her former on-air partner in crime, Janeen signed right up (although frequently has misgivings at spending two hours a week locked in a Studio with Pete having to witness his many and varied dance moves and air guitar playing). All in all Janeen maintains its a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.
