Tom Nicol is a fill-in announcer on 2BS.
After graduating from St Aloysius College Sydney in 2006, Tom came to Bathurst to study Journalism at Charles Sturt University. Early in his first year at University, Tom was awarded the Nine Network’s prestigious “Richard Carleton Memorial Scholarship for Journalism” which he says was an enormous honour that he felt very humbled to receive.
In early 2008, Tom was chosen to fill in for Jennifer Menchin on “Talk of the Town” while she travelled overseas for two months.
Tom says the highlights of his time at 2BS include co-hosting the station’s 2007 Federal Election analysis program, presenting a special Mothers Day edition of “The Weekend Wireless Program”, and acting as a ‘roving reporter’ at the 2008 Royal Bathurst Show.
Tom is also Promotions Assistant at our sister station, 99.3 B-Rock FM.
Away from the airwaves, Tom coaches public speaking at his alma mater, and enjoys swimming and snow skiing. Tom is also an avid traveller, and he hopes to spend more time in the future exploring Asia and Africa.
